has got “nothing” to lose following , a royal insider has claimed.

The Duke of York recently withdrew from all the festivities with the Royal Family .

A High Court hearing revealed that alleged Chinese spy Yang Tengbo, who was banned from the UK, was said to have been a “close” confidant of Andrew.

It followed a previous scandal the duke was involved in due to his links to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, which resulted in him stepping down as a senior working royal in 2019.

Now royal historian Hugo Vickers, who is known for his close relationship with the Royal Family, said that Andrew accepts his fate and is left with “literally nothing”.

He told : “Nobody wants him in public life and he accepts that.

“He has nothing else except riding in the park and golf, his children and grandchildren — that’s all he has, literally nothing.”

Mr Yang, who was named after an anonymity order was lifted on Monday, has insisted it was “entirely untrue” to claim he was involved in espionage and that he has “done nothing wrong or unlawful”.

The businessman, previously referred to only as H6 in the legal case, was the founder-partner of the Chinese arm of the duke’s PitchPalace initiative and twice visited Buckingham Palace in 2018 to meet the late Queen’s second son.
