Logan Paul has subtly hinted at a potential blockbuster fight with UFC icon next year.

The buzz was created when McGregor confirmed he’s in preliminary talks for an exhibition boxing match with the elder of the Paul brothers in India. Sharing his plans, McGregor stated, “The rumours of a bout with Topuria are false. I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India. I have agreed. I will then seek my return to the Octagon.”

Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk are set to lock horns again on December 21 with the Brit attempting to avenge his defeat by the Ukrainian in May.

You can watch the fight for £24.99 with DAZN pay-per-view.

Flaunting their immense wealth, the Ambanis, with assets topping £40 billion, stand as India’s wealthiest family. Although Paul hasn’t made an official statement about the bout, he did post an eye-catching social media teaser showing himself and McGregor alongside McGregor’s announcement tweet and the suggestive eyes emoji. In addition to making waves in WWE recently, claiming to have retired after embracing fatherhood, Paul seems primed for a top billing when WWE transitions to Netflix next year.

Hinting at his wrestling prowess, during a recent WWE segment, Logan tipped his hat to one of McGregor’s legendary remarks and is expected to re-emerge on January 6 for Monday Night Raw. While hyping up his sensational comeback, the 29 year old Logan Paul channelled Conor McGregor’s bravado as he spoke to the crowd. “If you have something I want, I’m gonna take it…’Logan Paul’s a bully’. Yeah! I am the bully! And the WWE is my playground!” declared Paul. “So look, I’m not here to take part, I’m here to take over. Your approval means nothing to me. Whether you love me or hate me, I don’t care, because you’re still watching.”

Previously, Paul had thrown down the gauntlet to the Irish fighter before his match with McGregor’s ex-teammate Dillon Danis last year, saying, ” Conor McGregor is an average MMA fighter and a horrible boxer,” and “I’m going to beat the s*** out of his b**** Dillon and then I’m going beat the s*** out of him.”

He also taunted McGregor for not backing his fighter with a hefty bet: “He ghosted me, he won’t even bet a million dollars on his fighter. That’s chump change for a guy like Conor, he won’t even bet a million dollars on Dillon. He had nothing to say when I called him out on Twitter. So do you think that he’s going to step in there himself? I don’t know, feels unlikely.” Following his victory over Danis, Paul gloated, “Conor McGregor, you see that? . I took your b****, put him on a leash and took him for a walk. Who’s the real fighter now? “.
