Kylie Kelce admits her kids have a ‘deadbeat’ Elf on the Shelf

To absolutely no one’s surprise, Kylie Kelce and her husband, Jason Kelce, have an extremely low-key approach to a divisive holiday tradition: Elf on the Shelf.

In her new podcast, “Not Gonna Lie,” Kelce decided to get “real honest about the E.L.F.”

The Kelce family Elf happened to appear at about the same time as Wyatt, the oldest of the three Kelce daughters, was being potty trained. She named the family Elf “Eminemi” after the M&M’s her parents used to reward her for using the toilet.

“I don’t think our chosen avenue of Elf on the Shelf will be a surprise to anyone. We are the most low-maintenance Elf on the Shelf family you can find,” Kelce explained.

Eminemi shows up on Dec. 1 and changes location on “most nights,” but not all.

There’s also a list of things Eminemi is not doing.

“Eminemi’s not leaving notes. She’s not bringing gifts. She’s not doing mischief,” Kelce said. “Power to you if you really go in on your Elf in a Shelf situation. That’s not our reality, and I am OK with that.”

There’s just one tiny potential issue with the Kelce Elf approach: other families.

“The one problem that I have not yet run into,” she said, “I am nervous for the time where my girls compare notes at school, because I’m nervous about the families whose Elves bring gifts and fun things, and then they come home and ask me why Eminemi is such a deadbeat elf.”

Since starting her Wave Sports + Entertainment Original podcast during holiday season, Kelce has discussed her dislike of pregnancy, how she schedules childcare and her list of toys that she really, really hopes people will not give her children for Christmas.
