More than a quarter of all GMC buyers in Canada opt for the top Denali or Denali Ultimate trims
- GMC is marking the 25 years of its luxury Denali trim
- A special 25th Anniversary package will be available on the 2025 GMC Yukon
- The top trim now accounts for more than 26% of all GMC retail sales in Canada
The name refers to the tallest mountain peak in North America – it’s in Alaska and was previously known as Mount McKinley, named for the 25th president of the U.S. But McKinley never visited the area, and after more than a century of debate about renaming it Denali, an Athabascan name for it, the change became official in 2015. It’s common to find a topography map of the mountain as part of a Denali vehicle’s interior design.
