Four in 10 are concerned about the cost of Christmas this year
Four out of every ten Brits are fretting over how they’ll finance Christmas this year as the escalating continues to batter households.
However, shoppers nationwide are resolved to think outside the box, with three-quarters intending to shop astutely to conserve money.

Loyalty schemes form a crucial part of the festive budget strategy, with the average Brit being a member of four different programmes to make their money go further.
Yet, many are sitting on a treasure trove of unclaimed rewards, with nearly half confessing they haven’t redeemed their points which could be valued at up to £190.
Some choose to hoard these points for a high-value item, while others utilise them regularly to whittle down everyday expenses.
A spokesperson for Virgin Red, which sponsored the survey, and whose own membership has surge by a million, said: “With many Brits feeling the squeeze this year from the rising , it’s fantastic to see shoppers capitalising on points earning opportunities when purchasing Christmas gifts this year.
“Loyalty programmes with travel benefits are an excellent starting point as you can literally transform your routine spending into extraordinary experiences, and it appears that many people are now getting the message.”
The research also discovered that loyalty schemes aren’t the only ace up shoppers’ sleeves. A third of Brits depend on price-comparison websites, and over a third exploit free delivery offers to save money.
According to poll Belfast has been crowned the discount-diving champion of the UK, with a whopping three-quarters of its demographic declaring themselves as thrifty spenders in the run-up to Christmas.
Northern Ireland’s buzzing capital leads the hunt for bargains, particularly targeting gift items, chocolates, and festive fare. While both Manchester and Southampton are not too far behind. As their locals average over two diligent hours each week scouring deals.
The spokeperson added:”Redeeming points on something special is like winning the lottery, and shoppers are finding it’s a great way to add sparkle to Christmas without blowing the budget.”
