Lee Mack shares huge worry as presenter issues ITV 1% Club announcement

Lee Mack has shared an exciting update about . The comedic presenter announced that the popular quiz show will be doing a Soccer Aid special, featuring “ex-footballers and some celebs.”

He joked about concerns that “no one was going to get past the eighty per cent question,” before adding, “if I told you Neil ‘Razor’ Ruddock did really well, you’d be as surprised as I was!”

Appearing on with , Chris Stark and Sian Welby, the ITV host also shared why he thought the show was “so big”. He praised the producers as he explained: “Of all the shows I’ve done over the years it’s the most that’s sort of hit the ground running from day one and there’s never any rhyme or reason for these things.

“The guys that make it are just so good, they really know what they’re doing, and we’ve done stuff together before on Sky so I knew they were good, I knew it would be engaging. I also knew that in the pilot I said, ‘look this will only work if you’ve got a hundred people who aren’t playing so they’ll laugh at my jokes.’

“So we did it and we built a rostrum and we had a hundred people who weren’t playing but they weren’t laughing at the jokes either because they were so engrossed in the questions and I thought ‘this is actually a good sign they’re not laughing because they’re so bothered about the questions.’

“So I thought yeah why don’t I do the show when no one is laughing at my jokes.”

As the show has grown in popularity, producers have made some changes so that those watching at home can be more involved with their viewing.

However, a substantial change in the new series has since sparked outrage.

The introduction of a revamped accompanying app has drawn ire on social media, as it now allows users to answer questions at a faster pace than the TV contestants, effectively spoiling the sequence of reveals.

The show’s loyal audience was also puzzled to see the show moved from its regular Saturday evening slot.

ITV1 announced an unusual schedule change, revealing on its Twitter account that the series would air each night of the week, leaving fans scratching their heads.
