Skoda’s Kodiaq is a great all-around pick
The most spacious cars on the market have now been revealed in a brand new list – but it’s not the one which takes the top spot that I think is the clear winner, emerging as what I believe is the best all-around pick for motorists.
Large boots and wide interiors are a crucial selling tip for those who love to travel, animal lovers and families looking for extra room to maneouvre.
has given a rundown of motors with the biggest boots, with some featuring over 1,000 litres of space for individuals to work with.
WhatCar? analysis reveals the ID Buzz is the most spacious model on the road with the car
Analysis from the experts revealed the Buzz can hold a staggering 16 suitcases with a boot capacity of 1,121 litres.

The Volkswagen Buzz has the largest boot at over 1,100 litres
The model scooped WhatCar?’s 2023 Car of the Year Award due to its reputation as one of the most practical cars on the market.
Motorists can grab a five or seven-seater model with plenty of space throughout the interior including shelves and an extra boot floor when the back seats are folded back. However, priced at around £59,000 brand new, the model is one of the more expensive options on the market making it unattainable for many.
The is next with the model boasting a storage capacity of 1,093 litres making it ideal for large families. The luxurious model has plenty of room with the machine estimated to fit 10 suitcases when fully packed. But the Range Rover is also expensive, with experts stressing owners may notice reliability concerns.
Tesla’s Model Y is next with 971 litres with the Land Rover Discovery just ahead of the Skoda Kodiaq, which brings me nicely onto my top pick.
DON’T MISS… [COMMENT]
Although it’s not number one on the rundown, as a car writer I have to suggest the Skoda Kodiaq is the standout suggestion with plenty of space partnered with safety, reliability – and a cheap price tag.
At just £33,885, the Skoda is one of the most affordable options but this by no means suggests it’s the worst.
The large SUV has a staggering boot space of 910 litres which will comfortably fit several suitcases behind the rear seats.
Along with its vast dimensions, Skoda tends to pride itself on safety and the Kodiaq is no different with a full five-star Euro NCAP rating already in the bag.
WhatCar? praised the Kodiaq for having a comfortable ride and “strong and efficient engines” for a competitive price.
The Kodiaq has also been praised by experts, securing third place in their 7-seater class reliability survey with the model previously taking first place on AutoExpress’ Driver Power new car survey.
The model may not be the fastest on the list either, but if space is important, the Kodiaq boats up to three times the capacity of a flash BMW Q7 which is double the asking price.
The Tesla Model Y was third on the list with over 900 litres of space
