Sky News’ Kay Burley halts show for announcement as floored viewers all say same thing

During the broadcast, one of Kay’s guests quipped: “You haven’t aged a day. Not even close to looking 64.”

Kay laughed and responded: “As I always say, I’m a tribute to my plastic surgeon.”

The clip quickly received attention online, with fans flocking to the comments to share their astonishment.

One person wrote: “Wait 64 WOW do tell, hey mate check this lady out, God is real.”

Another chimed in: “Kay, you look fabulous.”

A third joked: “It’s just not possible you are 64. So I wish you a very happy 29th Birthday and all the best from Germany!”

Kay’s birthday celebration comes amid speculation about her future at Sky News.

Reports suggest that the broadcaster , with her last day on air before Christmas rumored to be Thursday.

Industry website Deadline claims her future at the channel is uncertain, with a Sky insider commenting, “It would be massive if she left.”

Kay has hosted the breakfast programme for five years, after moving from her afternoon slot in 2019.

She’s also been a prominent figure at Sky News since its launch in 1988; covering historic events such as the death of Princess Diana, the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and the births of Royal babies.

Just last month, Kay reflected on her impressive career spanning nearly 40 years.
