Josie Gibson apologises after storming out of interview which left radio star ‘sweating’

offered a heartfelt apology to Capital radio’s Jordan North following a prank that had the DJ breaking out in a cold sweat live on air.

The favourite had fooled Jordan with an emotional stunt, leading viewers to witness her feigning distress and marching out of Capital’s premises, much to the concern of Sian Welby, who dashed after her.

The scene unfolded with Josie unwrapping a costume during the radiocast and pretending to be upset to the point of leaving the studio. However, she soon returned to unveil the truth, as Jordan declared he was feeling “sick”.

Addressing the event on This Morning, an apologetic Josie expressed her regret over unsettling Jordan, stating: “I just really want to take today to apologise to Jordan North. I think I really shook him up there! So Jordan, I am really sorry. But, go South Jordan North!”

Josie’s prank was so convincing that it prompted to praise her performance, commenting: “You were so good!” She revealed a former producer from This Morning orchestrated the comical hoax, which involved her being resistant to a Christmas Pudding outfit.

Giving further insight, Josie disclosed to Dermot that although Sian Welby was aware of the prank, co-stars Jordan North and Chris Stark were completely oblivious.

Describing Jordan’s reaction, Josie chuckled: “I’m not joking, I made him sweat! He was really sweating. Look at his face!”

Jordan showed clear signs of alarm when commenting on the joke made by Josie, exclaiming: “Oh my god I am sweating! At first, I thought she was joking and then everyone was…Oh my god!

“Josie don’t ever do that to me again I’m actually dripping with sweat. I was like how has she died but I got her a Christmas pudding costume?”

Chris Stark added to the humorous exchange by inquiring: “So, is there no story about a Christmas pudding then?”

Amidst the ensuing laughter, Josie set things straight by confirming that she had not been telling the truth, reports .

Capital’s page broadcasted the funny interchange, prompting rapid reactions from the audience. One individual commented: “Oh Jordan, bless you! Your little face! Great acting though Josie.”

Another person humorously suggested: “Go South Jordan North…. Iconic behaviour.”

Meanwhile, another impressed listener remarked: “This was absolutely brilliant….I thought she was for real until she said Go South @jordannorth1. Brilliant listening as always.”

Someone wrote: “well played Josie! But poor Jordan though.”
