But during the show, fans picked up on Kate’s behaviour towards Richard, with many claiming she isn’t too fond of her co-star.

Sharing their thoughts on social media, one wrote: “Kate really does get irritated by Richard. So obvious #GMB.”

A second agreed: “@GMB I really like @richardm56 on @GMB, not sure kate likes him , she constantly interrupts, it’s very annoying Kate!”

Others pointed out Kate’s constant interruptions, with one saying: “Well done Richard on remaining calm when Kate talked over him a couple of times there.”

A second echoed: “How many times can Kate cut Richard off in mid sentence? He starts to speak, she interrupts him.”

However, a further viewer spotted Richard’s “calmness” around his co-star, adding: “Richard has a calming influence on Kate, it’s lovely.”

It comes after Kate replaced , who announced that she would be taking a break over the festive period. Last week, the 54-year-old revealed it would be her “last show” for a while.

The news came as Susanna touched upon GMB’s 1 Million Minutes campaign, which aims to tackle lonliness.

Sitting next to Richard, Susanna shared: “Ending on a positive note, our amazing 1 Million Minutes campaign – I just want to say thank you to everybody who has pledged their minutes to the campaign.

“We have a special programme on Christmas Day but this is my last chance to say thank you to you before Christmas because it is my last programme before Christmas Day.”

Signing off, she added: “Good Morning Britain back tomorrow from 6am. Have a happy Christmas from me, I’ll see you on Christmas Day.”
