Radio presenter Jordan North was rescued from the River Thames last night (December 16) after the star bravely rescued a drowning dog.
The 34-year-old broadcaster was on a run when he saw a Labrador struggling to stay afloat in the water when he decided to jump in and help him. However, things took an unexpected turn when the radio host started to panic.
Thankfully, a member of the public raised the alarm when they spotted him struggling in the water. The lifeboat crew were out and about during a routine exercise and reached the location, near Hammersmith Bridge, just three minutes later.
The found the ITV star sat on a nearby float lift with the furry friend as members of the public held up phone torches to help the RNLI find him faster.
Speaking about the terrifying incident, Jordan told listeners on Capital Breakfast: “A big thank you and a massive shout out to RNLI Chiswick who came and rescued me because I was getting a bit panicky.

“I was getting a bit nervy as well because I thought my legs are going to go, I can’t hold on much longer so they just got there in time. The real heroes here are the RNLI who came out and got me, put a blanket around me. They’re the heroes.”
Thames Commander Gavin Simmons, alongside crew Sid Blake, Tom Coe and Cameron Crawley were the ones who got Jordan and the dog, who belonged to a member of the public, to safety.
Gavin said: “We are on call to help all those who find themselves in difficulty on the water 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, even our beloved pets!
“While we’d always encourage people to call 999 and ask for the Coastguard instead of entering the water themselves, we’re happy that in this instance we were able to help Jordan and the dog safely back to dry land.”

The RNLI is currently running its annual Christmas fundraising appeal to acknowledge the crews who keep up safe over the festive period.
Dad-of-two Gavin will be on shift overnight at Chiswick Lifeboat Stateion from December 23-27 to keep the local community safe. On average, RNLI lifeboats launch over 100 times during the Christmas period every year.
It comes after the broadcaster was left utterly red-faced after This Morning presenter Josie Gibson pulled a prank on him live on air. The blonde bombshell, 39, pretended to be offended by the Burnley native’s Christmas gift and stormed out the studios.
Thankfully, the star was able to laugh off the cheeky prank as they poked fun at his embarrassment on the breakfast show.
