The full line-up of celebrities and professional dancers for next year’s Live UK Tour has been announced, but the show winner will be missing, sparking upset.
Chris, 47, previously revealed that his stand-up comedy tour, Yonks!, clashed with the Strictly tour dates, making it impossible for him to take part.
One viewer took to X, formerly Twitter, and fumed, “Shame the winner is ditching the live tour.”
Another wrote: “It feels so wrong that Chris isn’t going to be on the Strictly live tour considering he literally won. It’s a shame it crosses over with his tour tbh.”(sic)
Strictly’s Chris McCausland will not be on the live tour
A third wrote: “Live tour out. Great that Lauren is doing it and Dianne still doing it as a backing dancer which is great, especially as Chris not doing it mixed feelings on Amy really hope she’s well enough #strictly Also Gorka never does the live tour he likes to spend time at home.”
A fourth shared: “So Dianne has no partner on the live tour…very bizarre…”
“Gutting Chris! First winner not to be on the tour! Surely the dates can be moved again (speaking as someone with tickets for both the Strictly and your tour!),” another pleaded.
A fifth commented: “Absolutely gutted, don’t know how I’ll get through this.”

Chris McCausland and his partner Dianne Buswell were crowned Strictly champions
Chris broke his silence about pulling out of the Strictly tour during a candid Q&A on the micro-blogging site, after he was quizzed about his absence.
A fan asked: “Going to do the Strictly tour?”
He replied: “I’m afraid I will not be able to do the Strictly tour. My own tour was meant to be on the road in September and a lot of dates were moved to Jan and Feb to accommodate doing #Strictly. It’s unfortunate as it’s been so much fun, but my own dates can’t be moved for a second time.”
The comic’s 43,000 followers rushed to offer their support as one person tweeted: “Totally understandable Chris, especially when you thought you were going out on week 1! A bazillion congratulations on your #StrictlyComeDancing victory. So very much deserved.”
Another penned: “Oh to be so much in demand. You’ve become our national treasure, I hope you know that! You have been such a joy to watch dancing & provided comedy at the same time. Incredible. Well done!”
