finalist Tasha Ghouri is setting her sights on an exciting new career after wowing audiences on the dance contest.
The former Love Island contestant, renowned for competing with a cochlear implant, has expressed her aspiration to delve into documentary filmmaking post-show. Tasha’s ambitions stem from a desire to shed light on ableism and push for better representation in media.
Commenting on her experiences and future goals, Tasha revealed: “I would love to do more TV and do a documentary around ableism and delve into that subject. Representation has got much better but more still needs to be done. It should be the norm, not a surprise. When I left Love Island, the hardest thing to deal with was all the ableism. There was so much lack of awareness,” reports from The Sun.
Tasha’s impressive stint on Strictly included a record-breaking scoreboard triumph, surpassing former high-scorer Ashley Roberts with a series total of 596 points.
Despite being the runner-up to comical virtuoso and his dance partner Dianne Buswell in the gripping finale, Tasha took to social media to express her gratitude for her extraordinary journey. She shared touching moments, including a heartwarming surprise visit from her brother, marking the live final as “magical,” reports .
