have put up for sale in the January transfer window as part of ruthless efforts to transform the club, according to reports. is said to have agreed that the 27-year-old forward must leave Old Trafford as early as this winter to help stop the rot and boost his major rebuild.

Rashford’s future at his boyhood club is in serious doubt as Amorim starts to separate the players he wants to feature in his long-term project from those whom he can cash in on.

The United No. 10 was a glaring omission from the matchday squad in Sunday’s stunning 2-1 comeback victory against .

He is said to be ready to cut United’s losses on Rashford this winter with a short-term pain for long-term gain philosophy.

The British billionaire followed the same belief with his decision to axe sporting director Dan Ashworth just five months after his £5million arrival from United.

Whether Rashford’s exit will come to fruition remains to be seen. The £365,000-a-week salary on the five-year contract he signed last summer is a major stumbling block.

But United reportedly hope that by lowering their asking price, the England international’s admirers will come forward next month.
