Queen Camilla has reportedly held a “private meeting” with beloved TV gardener Monty Don so he can pay a touching tribute.

It follows news that the star has been designing a -friendly garden for the Chelsea Flower Show, with the Jack Russell Terriers, Bluebell and Beth, set to have their names added to the path.

Monty’s own dogs are well-known to viewers, including Nigel and Nell, golden retrievers who sadly passed away, and his current pets, a terrier named Patti, and another dog known as Ned.

In a break from tradition, Monty has decided to make his first garden dog-friendly, despite the animals (except guide dogs) being banned from the Royal Horticultural Society-led event.

His garden will include a lawn, a tree, brick paths, a meadow and a summerhouse, with the paths inscribed with the names of Radio 2 stars and RHS ambassadors’ dogs, reports the Guardian.
