BBC Antiques Road Trip’s Christina Trevanion lashes out as she begs dealers to leave

star Christina Trevanion suggested two dealers should leave as they continued to pester her.

On a previous episode of the hit programme, expert Christina faced quite the challenge while squaring off with fellow antiquer James Braxton in the scenic Trossachs.

Ever the enthusiast, Christina hoped to get the upper hand by finding an item that would clinch victory at the auction.

Upon meeting Jock and Franco from Narducci Antiques, Christina’s hunt seemed off to a promising start as she greeted the pair with her usual charm and posed the question of assistance in item sourcing.

The duo eagerly volunteered, prompting a somewhat taken aback Christina to rally: “Oh! Come on then guys. Let’s go and have a look around.”

Christina walked through the shop anticipating insightful suggestions from the collector connoisseurs.

However, Jock and Franco had other plans, badgering her incessantly with each piece they encountered, seemingly those they were keen to unload from their collection.

Boasting a unique find, Franco pitched in: “A lovely… look at this vintage prop. It’s an old propeller from a plane but it has been converted to a clock.”

Yet Christina could muster only a subdued, unenthusiastic: “Yeah… yeah,” as Jock tried his luck with: “How about a lovely lady? We’ve got a lovely lady statue.”

Christina promptly side-stepped, responding lightly: “Okay… lovely. Yeah,” before Franco attempted another sell.

“A nice bottle of vintage brandy? Would that? No?” he hesitantly asked.

Always keeping things civil, the composed expert let him down gently, responding: “No, not so much. Not quite so early in the day maybe.”

But when a thistle was proposed as her next great antique find, Christina lost her temper: “A thistle? What? No! Guys… I wonder whether James might need your help at the desk?”

Franco and Jock departed their own establishment, feeling rather snubbed, with the former remarking: “Okay, we’re not wanted Jock. We know when we’re not wanted,” while Christina grimaced at the situation.

Tim Wonnacott, from the commentary box, couldn’t resist a quip, saying: “Exit three old dogs. Alone at last!”
