While the are constantly showing the world the best versions of themselves, from practicing their royal waves and perfecting a curtsey, deep down they are just like any other family – and that includes having family feuds.
From marriage scandals to throne abdications, the monarchs have seen it all over the years. There have been countless disputes in the royal family throughout history, and today there are reportedly fall outs still happening within the palace walls.
This weekend has saw air on One. The programme followed the epic fallout between royals Edward VIII and George VI.

and have had ongoing tension since the Duke gave up his royal duties and left the UK. And things only became more tense when Harry released his tell-all memoir, Spare.
He told of how the friction wasn’t just between the brothers, but also their wives – Princess Kate and . In it, Harry says William called Meghan “difficult”, “rude”, and “abrasive” – which Harry described as “parrot[ing] the press narrative” about the former Suits actress.
Harry also claimed that their fallout also once became physical, as he wrote that William “grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and … knocked me to the floor.”

More royal brothers who are believed to have had a falling out recently are King Charles III and . They are said to have had words after Andrew’s daughters, and , lost their taxpayer-funded security in 2011 – a move that was reportedly sanctioned by Charles at the time.
More recently Charles is said to have put pressure on his brother to move out of his Windsor home, Royal Lodge. The King reportedly axed Andrew’s private security team.
The monarch is said to have applied the pressure after Andrew neglected to pay for its £500,000 upkeep per year, which has allegedly resulted in “crumbling” brickwork and damp issues.
Princess Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer, and the rest of the Royals
‘People’s Princess’ Diana died suddenly and unexpectedly in 1997 at age 36. Two decades later her brother, Charles Spencer, publicly blasted the Royals over the handling of her funeral.
Spencer for a 2017 interview, in which he described the family’s “bizarre and cruel” decision to have her children, and Harry, walk behind their mother’s funeral procession when they were just children.
“I was lied to and told that they wanted to do it, which of course they didn’t,” he claimed, later deeming the experience to be “the most horrifying half an hour of my life.”
Harry backed up his uncle’s claims, as he later confessed: “My mother had just died and I had to walk a long way behind her coffin surrounded by thousands of people watching me while millions more did on television. I don’t think any child should be asked to do that under any circumstances. I don’t think it would happen today.”
