The front of the roof collapsed onto passengers
Several people have been injured after a double-decker bus “drove straight into a rail bridge”.
Emergency services are currently at the scene on Cook Street, in Glasgow, after the incident happened at about 5.55pm.
Pictures show the front of the roof of the First Bus vehicle ripped off.
Witnesses said some passengers had been struck and were covered in blood, the Daily Record reports.
A 26-year-old sound engineer said: “We drove straight into the bridge. It was quite shocking.”

ScotRail has reopened lines but delays are expected
ScotRail has released an update on X: Following a road vehicle colliding with a bridge earlier this evening between Glasgow Central and Cardonald all lines have now reopened.
Residual delays and cancellations will occur as crew and trains get back into their correct positions.

A number of roads have been closed
A Police Scotland statement said: “A number of roads in Glasgow are closed following a report of a bus crashing into a bridge on Cook Street around 5.55pm on Saturday, 14 December.
“Cook Street is closed at Centre Street, Commerce Street is closed until Wallace Street and Salkeld Street is closed to Cook street.
“Emergency services are in attendance and drivers are asked to avoid the area.”
A passenger’s account from inside the bus
A passenger on the bus told the Daily Record: “We drove straight into the bridge. It was quite shocking.
“I was third from the front. The whole front of the bus just collapsed.
“Parts of the bus exterior swung down and struck people in front of me.
“I felt my face and looked around me to see if everyone was okay.
“The lady in front of me was concussed.
“The man in the front seat was in a bad way. He was covered in blood and had a huge gash to his head.”
