While a weekly deep clean is the best preventative measure for allowing to build up in the home, some weeks are certainly more full-on than others.
Having left the weekly deep clean slide during the month of December, my shower head was turning into an unsightly appliance.
Pressed for time, I wanted a quick and effective solution that would turn the shower head into a more sparkly version.
Turning to – with a citrus scent – it was time to tick off one more task of the day.
Spraying the limescale-ridden shower head with , I left the solution sit on the appliance for about 30 seconds.

Then, with a blue cloth – which you can get at the likes of , , or your local pound shop – I quickly scrubbed the shower head.
I then rinsed with cool water under the bath taps, resulting in a much cleaner-looking shower head.
So, within less than one minute, I had turned a gross-looking shower head ridden with limescale into a more acceptable version.
And if I really wanted to go the extra mile, I could redo the process (but I didn’t).

Considering the powerful cleaning effects of white vinegar, a multi-purpose spray such as makes sense to me.
I’m not going to keep buying loads of different cleaning agents when I only need a few.
Now this has secured a spot in my bathroom cabinet.
And I can confirm that there was no smelly vinegar scent afterwards, which is another bonus.
