‘s turns 50 today and despite an ongoing back and knee injury, he’s expressed desires to be the fittest he’s ever been.
In a new Q&A with fans, Ben was quizzed on how he manages to stay fit and healthy, particularly with his long-standing health challenges.
Responding to one fan who expressed concerns for him after his son jumped on his back, he ensured her that all was good.
“I have spent a long time working hard to try and reinforce it,” he said in a new video.

“So I have a very strong core and very tight glutes.”
Ben said he also takes the supplement Glucosamine to help with his knee and back pain, as well as Vitals.
The presenter has been suffering from “a middle aged” back injury since 2018.
This pain worsened when he later injured his knee while playing football, and needed surgery.

Ben has since told fans that his marathon days are very much in the past, having completed 14 previously.
Speaking on at the time, he told fans: “Without realising, I have ruptured my ACL, I’ve torn the meniscus and I’ve fractured part of my leg as well.
“I carried on playing for 25 minutes. It turns out I severed all of my nerves which is why I carried on playing.”
While he may not be capable of running a marathon, Ben hasn’t turned his back on fitness completely.
The father-of-two has asked his fans to set him more physical challenges for his 50th, which has so far included doing 50 pull-ups, weight training and cold water swimming.
Back in October, he also took part in Tough Mudder North West, an obstacle course and mud run.
In a new move for Ben, he will oversee fellow fitness fanatics in a brutal new reality competition for ITV called The Summit.
The programme challenges contestants with a trek to the top of a mountain in New Zealand’s south island, for a chance to win their share of a huge cash prize.
