An expert has explained why the should fear Sarah Ferguson over the ongoing row about .

The former couple live in the same , the Grade II-listed Royal Lodge, near in Berkshire.

The prince is still staying there despite King Charles III’s reported withdrawal of a £ 1 million annual allowance granted by .

, the Duke of York, has not performed royal duties since January 2022, when Queen Elizabeth II stripped her son of his royal and military titles.

Now, rumours are said to be circulating that the prince could be poised to write a tell-all book about his life. This could be similar to that released by , titled Spare.

However, royal expert and author Andrew Lownie has said that he does not believe that it is likely that would break his silence.

He told the : “There have long been rumours that Andrew might write a book, and various collaborators have been suggested, but I think it is very unlikely. Andrew is loyal to the institution and knows it would impact his daughters and their position within the Royal Family.”

He added: “Yes he knows a lot but I doubt he would ever talk. He’s told them all to Fergie and she’s the real threat which is why the family are keen to keep her on side.”
