In an extensive 55-minute video, the duo delve into their latest cinematic ventures, Gladiator II and Wicked, which hit the big screen simultaneously. They also humorously discuss being ‘Glicked’, as fans were urged to partake in an unconventional double feature, echoing last year’s ‘Barbenheimer’ craze sparked by the simultaneous release of Barbie and Oppenheimer.
Grande and Mescal share insights into their career journeys and experiences filming their respective movies. Mescal quipped that he cannot stomach horror ‘for love nor money’, yet he managed to watch Longlegs, eliciting a prompt “Brilliant” from Grande who regards it as one of her top films from the past year, alongside Late Night With The Devil, reports .

Mescal’s summary of Longlegs is candid and humorous: “F*** me. I cannot do it.”
When Grande suggests he should catch Late Night With The Devil for the performances, Mescal retorts with a chuckle: “Nope. I’m going to say yes but it’s never gonna happen.”
The clip has captivated fans, sparking amusement in the comments section. One viewer remarked: “The fact that Ariana loves horror movies makes me love her even more plus Paul bringing up Longlegs and her saying she loves it especially when the lead actress is now dating her ex husband…. Ariana is a class act and seems like such a sweetheart! ” Another expressed how hilarious they find it imagining Grande watching Longlegs.
Released earlier this year, Longlegs has captured both public and critical success. Boasting an impressive 86% score on Rotten Tomatoes, it grossed over $100 million at the box office, an exceptional feat given its modest production budget of less than $10 million.
The film is set in the 1990s and chronicles the story of an FBI agent assigned to apprehend an esoteric serial killer behind a spate of family murders across Oregon.
A thrilled cinema goer raved online, calling it ‘one of the scariest films of the year’. Their review didn’t hold back: “I genuinely taught the film was scary throughout almost all its run. I was expecting this to be a grounded thriller but I should have read the signs early in the film…it is really a terrifying unconventional horror movie.”
Gladiator II and Wicked are in cinemas now. Longlegs is available to rent from digital storefronts.
