Former icon has demanded that make a change to the jungle show. It comes as McFly star Danny Jones was crowned the winner of the 2024 series over the weekend.

Pleased as punch the 65-year-old Scottish TV personality told that she had predicted the win before it happened. She said: “My predictions were 100% correct. I predicted that would win the jungle and he’d become King of the jungle.”

She joyfully sang a little tune before saying: “Oh I really wish I had been in there, being serenaded by Danny. What an amazing thing to happen.”

Gillian pointed out that the winner was closely followed by , who finished the series in second place. The former campmate said: “What an incredible woman she is. My hat goes off to her and she deserves recognition from the jungle.”

Praising the line up for 2024, the TV star added: “It was a very good cast this season and they all got along perfectly well but they still gave us very good TV watching and I absolutely loved it.”

However, there is one thing on the ITV show that Gillian doesn’t agree with – and she made a demand to ITV bosses to make a change for next year.

She said: “But the one thing I would like to say is for goodness sake, give the winning person, the King of the jungle, the crown and sceptre to take home!

“It doesn’t seem fair that they get to do it for the photo shoot and then they have to give it back. No.

“Next time, the crown and sceptre should be going to the winner, please.”

Upon his win, Danny tearfully told audiences: “Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I gave my all in there, it’s a lovely feeling to be liked. Thank you so much, I appreciate this so much.”

During an appearance on This Morning after his win, the I’m a Celeb winner revealed the bittersweet reality of “having nothing to show” for his time in the competition.

“I didn’t get to keep anything! They wouldn’t let me keep anything!” he exclaimed. “I had to give the sceptre back. I really wanted to bring it through airport security because it’s quite big,” he laughed. “But yeah, I don’t have anything to show for it.”
