Christmas dinner is the most anticipated event of the festive season, and many households are preparing to enjoy turkey and all the trimmings on December 25.

But it’s not as simple as nipping to the shops the day before to gather your ingredients.

Major UK , including , , , and , have revealed the final dates customers can purchase everything they need.

Whether it be a golden turkey crown, gammon joint, , or cheeseboard staples, there are still a few days for Britons to order.

Final supermarket delivery and collection dates

Tesco

Tesco shoppers have until 11.45pm on Saturday, December 14, to secure their Christmas food order. Festive food is available for collection or delivery between December 20 and December 23.

You have until 11.45pm the day before your delivery date to make any final changes to your order.

You must book a food delivery or pick-up slot before December 24, and this must be secured by checking out within two hours of booking your time.

Asda

Asda is offering a longer window for food orders. The final date for Christmas food is Sunday, December 22.

You have until 11pm the day before your delivery date to make any final changes to your order.

Shoppers can pre-order fresh turkeys until 11.59pm on December 15.

Morrisons

All shoppers must spend a minimum of £25 for online deliveries, and the final click-and-collect order date for turkeys is Saturday, December 16.

Sainsbury’s

Those planning a Sainsbury’s delivery must secure their slot by 11.59pm on Monday, December 16.

Festive food can be collected on December 22, 23, and 24, but delivery slots between December 18 and 24 are limited to one per person.

You have until 11pm the day before your delivery date to make any final changes to your order.

Marks and Spencer

M&S has set its final collection date for festive food as Tuesday, December 24. To secure a collection slot, shoppers must reach a minimum order value of £50, a non-refundable deposit.

If separate orders are placed, a £50 minimum basket value must be met on all individual orders.

The final order date for hampers is Sunday, December 22. M&S has reassured customers that most products will stay fresh until Boxing Day regardless of pick-up.

Iceland

Iceland offers Christmas food delivery slots up to Christmas Eve on Tuesday, December 24. There is no click-and-collect option for Christmas bookings.

Shoppers must book their slot six days in advance of their delivery, for example:

  • Slots available from 11/12: Delivery on 16/12

  • Slots available from 12/12: Delivery on 17/12

  • Slots available from 13/12: Delivery on 18/12

  • Slots available from 14/12: Delivery on 19/12

  • Slots available from 15/12: Delivery on 20/12

  • Slots available from 16/12: Delivery on 21/12

  • Slots available from 17/12: Delivery on 22/12

  • Slots available from 18/12: Delivery on 23/12

  • Slots available from 19/12: Delivery on 24/12

Amazon Fresh

Christmas turkeys can be bought online from Friday, December 13, and delivered on Thursday, December 19.

Amazon Prime members benefit from free delivery on orders over £60.

The final order date has not been confirmed, but shoppers had the option to arrange a Christmas Eve (December 24) delivery slot last year.

Ocado

All Smart Pass holders have now been invited to book their Christmas delivery slot.

The majority of remaining slots have been released, and all customers are able to view which slots are available to them via the usual slot booking page on site.

Order editing cut-off times vary and are communicated to each customer directly.
