Princess Eugenie is in a ‘difficult position’ over where to spend Christmas, expert says
is reportedly set to cut short her trip to Sandringham for Christmas with the after receiving an invitation to spend time with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in California.
The 34-year-old, her husband Jack Brooksbank and their two sons, August, three, and one-year-old Ernest have been invited by King Charles to join in the festivities at the Norfolk estate.
According to a source, Eugenie is currently exploring ways to balance both invitations which means that she could, although she will attend, cut her visit to Sandringham short.
The source revealed to : “Harry and Meghan have invited Eugenie and Jack to join them in California during the holidays.
“It’s a very difficult position for Eugenie because she has also been invited to Sandringham.”
The source added that Eugenie is reportedly planning on paying a visit to California near New Year so that August and Ernest can enjoy time with their cousins, five-year-old Prince Archie and three-year-old Princess Lilibet.
Speaking of Eugenie and Harry’s children, the source added: “It would be so nice for the children to spend time with their cousins. The diary is very tight over the holidays but there might be a slot free around New Years’ time for everyone to come together at some point.”
Although they will be present at Sandringham on Christmas Day, the Prince and Princess of Wales have also reportedly switched up their plans for the day.
Despite the fact that the couple are expected to attend the Christmas service at St Mary Magdalene on the Sandringham estate, they will likely after the service to spend time with the Middleton family.

Royal commentator Emily Andrews recently told Woman magazine: “They [William and Kate] prefer the informality of a relaxed lunch at nearby Anmer Hall. And I understand will do so again this year, with the addition of the Middleton family.”
The Royal Family typically head back to the main estate after the church service.
Harry and Meghan are thought to have not received an invite to spend Christmas at Sandringham. The couple haven’t spend Christmas with the royals since 2018. Although still senior working royals at the time, the couple opted to spend Archie’s first Christmas in Canada in 2019.
