You’ll never have dry chicken again with this .

chicken isn’t exactly complicated. But whether you choose to roast it, grill it, or stick it in the air fryer, there’s always a risk that your method of cooking could cause the meat to dry out.

When cooked correctly, this versatile white meat has the potential to be juicy and delicious. However, it can be all too tempting to overcook it, especially as we all know how dangerous chicken can be when it’s undercooked. This desire to blast it in the oven can leave it dry and tough, so timing really is everything if you want the perfect cut of meat.

However, there is one thing you can do to elevate your chicken cooking game. According to one video on , adding just one common kitchen ingredient to your marinade can make all the difference.

In a video shared by Keto Recipes, it was claimed that you can achieve the “juiciest chicken breast you’ve ever had” just by following a few simple steps – including using one item we all have in the cupboard.

The video explained that you should start by seasoning your chicken with whichever herbs and spices you like to make a marinade that will help the meat retain some of its juice. The man in the clip specifically used “a few easy spices, yoghurt, and lemon juice” to make the marinade for his chicken.

He also added one secret ingredient – baking soda. He reasoned that using a “tiny bit” of baking soda can help “loosen the fibres” in the chicken breast, making the meat more tender when it’s cooked. When the time came to cook his chicken, the man stressed the importance of cooking it on a medium heat with a lid on. He did this for three minutes before flipping and cooking for another seven minutes.

3 SECRETS for the juiciest chicken. . These are the secrets to the juiciest chicken breasts youve ever had: BAKING SODA, COOKING WITH LID ON, AND LETTING IT REST – these are practically dripping with juice and theyre so good . Ingredients 3 chicken breasts 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon oregano 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon smoked paprika 2 tablespoons plain yogurt Juice of 1/2 lemon Salt & pepper to taste . Here is how I made it: 1.Add 3 chicken brsts to a bowl and season with a generous pinch of salt and black pepper, 1 teaspoon of oregano, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika, and 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda to soften up the fibers. Add 2 tablespoons of plain yogurt, the juice of half a lemon, and mix very well. . 2.Let chicken marinate for 30 minutes (outside of the fridge). By not using cold chicken, it help cook the chicken evenly. . 3.Bring a pan to medium heat. Once hot, place the marinated chicken in the pan. Cover the pan with a lid and cook for 3 minutes. This method will trap the moisture, making the chicken juicier. . 4.After 3 minutes, flip the chicken. Cover again, reduce heat to MEDIUM-LOW, and let them cook for another 7-8 minutes. If you used cold chicken, or if your pan wasnt hot enough, or if your chicken was too thick, this may require more time (and not be juicy, so follow the directions and ultimately, the chicken is done when its internal temperature reaches 165°F). . 5. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the pan and place on a cutting board or a plate. Let rest for 5 minutes. Resting allows the juices to redistribute throughout the chicken, making it more tender and juicy.   6.After resting, slice the chicken breasts against the grain and serve. They should be exceptionally juicy and flavorful! . You can serve this however way you wish with your favorite veggies, salad, or with rice, quinoa, or if youre lowcarb/keto my Kaizen lowcarb rice. . I usually do chicken thighs, but this is an amazing way to make regular chicken super moist! . ENJOY . . . .

In the caption of the video, he explained: “These are the secrets to the juiciest chicken breasts you’ve ever had: baking soda, cooking with lid on, and letting it rest – these are practically dripping with juice, and they’re so good.”

Commenters on the post were blown away by the idea of putting baking soda on chicken, and the man insisted that “just a little goes a long way” when it comes to using the ingredient.

One person said: “Listen. LISTEN. It works, and it tastes amazing. Adjust the spices however you wish and it turns out PERFECTLY.”
