Nigel Farage says it could be “very interesting” when Donald Trump becomes President if he decides to probe ‘s visa for any “untruths”.

, who is a close friend of Mr Trump, told Express.co.uk: “A lot depends on the drug stuff, if the Trump administration would push for asking, ‘was his visa granted on the basis of untruths?’ That would be very interesting.”

Mr Farage was speaking to the Express during a walkabout in his constituency of Clacton-on-Sea, in Essex, on Saturday.

Coincidentally, it was the same day ‘s brother William was meeting Mr in Paris for a “warm, friendly meeting,” during which the President-elect described the Prince of Wales as a “good man” doing a “fantastic job.”

Mr Farage said that despite the obvious interest in ‘s visa, he didn’t know if Mr Trump would have “time for that sort of thing”, adding: “Is he going to be a vindictive presidency? I don’t think he is.

“He’s got to be forward looking, he’s got the House, the Senate, the Supreme Court, two years until mid-terms to make a real difference.”

Speaking about his friend Mr Trump taking over the reins once again as leader of the free world, Mr Farage said he “is going to be quite different this time round. Stuff is going to happen. Big stuff”.

While has never publicly voiced his opinion about Mr Trump, his wife called the now President-elect “misogynistic” and “divisive” during a 2016 appearance she made on The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore. At the time, she was not associated with the Royal Family.

Asked how he felt about Meghan’s remarks, Mr Trump told The Sun in 2019 he didn’t know she had made those comments, adding: “So, what can I say? No, I didn’t know that she was nasty.”
