Garrard jewellers have been associated with the for over two centuries and played a vital part in history. They were founded in 1735 and were that is worth a fortune.

Master silversmith George Wicks was a pioneer in the industry thanks to his modern concept of jewellery. Thanks to his hard work and skills, the brand was appointed the first official Crown Jeweller in 1843.

Their director said they “have proudly played our part in British history ever since, capturing imaginations throughout the world with unique, beautifully crafted designs that inspire and empower.” They have created many timeless pieces that have been part of the royal collection for over two centuries.

Every British monarch since Queen Victoria back in the 19th century appointed them as an official royal jeweller. Over the years, they have become known for their use of coloured gemstones, such as sapphires, rubies, emeralds, and aquamarines.

The imperial state crown that was used in the coronation of in 2023 was made by Garrard, . However, it was originally created for the coronation of George VI in 1937.

It features the Cullinan II diamond, the Stuart Sapphire, the Black Prince’s Ruby, and St Edward’s Sapphire.

The captivating headwear is full of huge sparklers and considered priceless – it may come as a shock but it has never been appraised or insured.

However, some experts have voiced their opinions and estimated its value to be between at least £3 billion and £5 billion – and will only continue to go up in value thanks to it’s precious gemstones.

However, in 2007, it was reported that Garrard’s services as crown jeweller were no longer required.
