The Abarth 600e is the brand’s first SUV and the most powerful model made by the brand
The Italian performance brand has shared more information about its upcoming that will be their most powerful production model ever made.
Based on the latest , the is the company’s first five-door crossover, offering a mix of practicality and performance.
Speaking to the Daily Express, Francesco Morosini, Manager, stated that the company wanted to create a for growing families.
He explained: “Honestly, we didn’t care so much about family opportunities. We started working with true performance with the new platform that can support a fun driving style, but we do have a great basis in a car with five doors and five seats.
“Historically, we had a lot of missed opportunities with practicality – people thought that after their third or fourth Abarth they had to move out because there was no room for their kids. Now we have a car for piston-heads and piston-kids.”

The new Abarth features several unique parts developed by Michelin and Alcon
Compared to the standard Fiat 600e, which was launched towards the end of 2023, the new Abarth features a number of tweaks to improve performance and make driving a more entertaining experience.
These include a new set of tyres designed by Michelin especially for the Abarth, which feature softer tread at the corners to improve grip when going around corners, and more powerful 380mm disk brakes made by Alcon.
As a result, the most powerful variant of the Abarth 600e is able to produce 280bhp, allowing it to accelerate from 0-62mph in 5.8 seconds whilst covering a range of up to 208 miles per charge.

The top-spec Scorpionissima model comes with heated seats and the ability to mimic engine noise
From launch, the Abarth 600e will be available with two trim levels, including the special edition Scorpionissima. Only 1,949 examples of this version will be produced, as a reference to when the company first launched.
Compared to the standard model, the Scorpionissima has a slightly higher power output, and a number of additional luxuries, including heated front seats, a hands-free power tailgate, and a digital sound system that mimicks the sound of an engine.
The high-end model also offers a number of advanced driving features, such as Level 2 Assisted Driving, urban blind spot monitoring, and traffic jam assist.
Abarth hope that their version of the Italian crossover will make up around 10 percent of all 600e sales, helped with the addition of further special editions later in the model’s life.
This follows the petrol-powered Abarth 595, which was offered in a number of unique models, including the Yamaha Edition and 75th Anniversary, in order to appeal to die-hard fans of the brand.
The Abarth 600e, which has a base price of £36,975, is available to order in the UK now, with deliveries expected to begin in early March 2024.
