Shane is currently engaged to singer songwriter Taulor West and they have two children together, two sons named Finley George & Caelan James.
It comes after Shane appeared on Good Morning Britain recently, where he spoke about his ex-Maura. Discussing his friendship with the former Love Island star, he said: “Maura as well she’s an Irish girl – she’s from a small town in Ireland – so they’re both from the sticks.
“They would have been growing up as kids in a small town so there would be similarities there.” Maura and Shane first met when she was working as a ring girl as he was doing commentaries on fights for a radio station.
She was on ring card duty for the David Haye vs Tony Bellew rematch in 2018, which Shane was covering on the airwaves. After dating briefly, they decided to call it a day but have remained friends.
An insider revealed that living between Ireland and London, where Shane was based at the time, made it difficult for the relationship to work.
The source said: “Maura has brains and beauty and she quickly caught Shane’s eye. They got chatting and had instant chemistry so of course he asked her out.
“At the time Maura lived in Ireland, and Shane was running his boxing gym in London, and she was travelling a lot for work so it wasn’t easy to pull off. There were no hard feelings when it ended.”
