“Audience doesn’t like him and applauds when Farage is reduced to his appalling fake bluster… #bbcqt.” It didn’t take long before the star faced backlash for her polarising comments from furious fans, who branded the TV presenter as “delusional” online.

One user penned: “You’re f***ing delusional. I wouldn’t have sat in front of a stacked audience. I take my hat off to Nigel appearing with a bunch of brainwashed lefties.”
