The stars of ‘s have all changed dramatically since the show began in 2009. A quick glance at early episodes shows that as the show got bigger, many of them they got smaller as they underwent significant weight loss.

initally did the ultimate crash diet taking part in in 2018. Like most contestants on the show she managed to shed several lbs.

After leaving the show, she revealed how she had not only kept the weight off but also managed to lose 14lbs (one stone). The quiz queen said she had cut out salt and rice in her diet, and was just sticking to beans.

Speaking to in 2019, she explained tests she undertook prior to her jungle stint affirmed her health was “fine”. However she acknowledged while she is “not a fit fat person”, she’s “not unhealthy” and expressed a wish to become “fitter”. In an insight into her weight-loss journey, she said she has embraced “small stages” and puts and emphaisis on living a healthy lifestyle, coupled with drinking “lots of water”.

She also credited her wealth from the show with aiding her dieting efforts. “I do find I’m not as hungry these days – it’s to do with being rich. It’s brilliant – I love being rich!” she told Bella magazine. “It just means I have this sense of security, and do I need to eat this? Am I hungry right now? I might be hungry later, so let’s put it aside and I can come back and eat it up.”

Her fellow chaser has undergone a truly dramatic transformation during his time on the show. The 58-year-old has lost 10 stone after overhauling his eating habits when he was diagnosed with Type 2 in 2016.

Prior to his fitness journey the 6ft6 quizzer tipped the scales at 29 stone. His diagnosis eight years ago was a wake-up call. Having changed his habits he has since credited the three key changes that have helped him get fitter – regualr gym vsits, eating less and walking his dog.

also found himself on the receiving end of a life changing diagnosis before dropping the pounds and costing the show a fortune.

He has been very open about his health since being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 2017 and Parkinson’s in 2019. In an attempt to lose weight he took part in the ITV documentary Diabetes: The Fast Fix. His calorie intake was reduced to no more than 800 a day during the show. It paid off and he lost two stone, putting his condition into remission.

“I lost plenty of weight, costing The Chase dozens of pounds in replacement suits. Far more importantly, I successfully put my diabetes in remission,” he reflected in his memoir, Once Sinha Lifetime: Comedy, Disaster and One Man’s Quest for Happiness.

didn’t have a life changing diagnosis to kick start her weight loss. However she did claim she was “fat shamed” by her GP.

The 42-year-old, who recently embarked on a solo tour around the country, posted abut the experience on social media.

In a series of posts on X she sarcastically wrote: “Isn’t modern life great? Your GP can now fat-shame you over the phone, so you don’t have to waste time travelling and sitting in a waiting room before being made to feel awful about your own existence!”

She claimed her doctor asked if she knew her current weight. When she told them they replied: “Oh… That’s ‘significantly’ lower than last time, well done. Not good enough though, is it?” Around this time Jenny was also the subject of online trolling about her weight.

However she had the last laugh when she showed off her stunning weight loss transformation at the press night of Sunset Boulevard at The Savoy Theatre, London. She took to to post a stunning snap of herself in a stylish green dress. To date she has yet to reveal her weight loss secrets.
