professional Jowita Przystal playfully labelled her celebrity dance partner “a control freak”, in a discussion about their progress on the show so far. Ahead of the semi-final on Saturday, the duo answered questions from their fans, one of which was: “If you had to label the other [person] as a Ballroom or Latin dance, which would you be and why?”.
With no hesitation, the 30-year-old likened Pete to an Argentine Tango. Intrigued to know more, 36-year-old probed Jowita on the differences between the dance mentioned and the Waltz they performed last weekend.
On his Staying Relevant podcast, she explained: “There’s no frame and you do Ganchos. Kicks and flicks, you know like when you flick the leg, so you hook my leg and I hook your leg and we go around and we hook each other’s legs, and we’re quite close and it’s quite serious.”

She went on to say: “So, it’s very serious, it’s very passionate and it’s very powerful – that’s basically you.”
Not stopping there, Jowita added: “And you’re a control freak as well, I need to genuinely listen [to] every step of yours, I need to follow you.”
“OK, so that would be that,” Pete replied, seemingly keen to move on from the topic.
Pete and Jowita return to the dance floor this evening to perform two new dances; an Argentine Tango to The Verve’s Bittersweet Symphony and a Foxtrot to Bobby Darin’s Beyond the Sea.

Betway’s latest odds suggest that Pete is likely to be the next contestant heading out of the competition this weekend, although he has defied such expectations previously.
Meanwhile, at the top end of the odds table, Chris and Dianne Buswell remain strong contenders for the title.
Following last weekend’s result, which saw Gladiators’ leave the show, Pete took to to thank fans for their support.
As part of his statement, he also admitted he was doubtful about making it through to the final, but promised fans he’d give it his all.
In response, Jowita replied encouragingly: “You deserve it all Pete. And together we will create two beautiful dances this week.”
