Strictly’s Katya Jones makes emotional family confession as she reunites with dad

star , has opened up on the long distance relationship she shares with her father as she uploaded a photograph with him on this week.

The professional dancer and her celebrity dance partner were the eighth couple to be eliminated from the One dance contest during the Blackpool special results show on November 17.

Showing a photo with her embracing her dad behind the judges’ table on Strictly, Katya typed: “A full week with my Papa. “Two years in a row he’s missed me dancing on Strictly. But, if there’s a silver lining – we got to spend some true quality time together.

“So grateful for a man who loves me so deeply and unconditionally. Dads are the best. Forever a daddy’s little girl,” she finished

In response, her followers shared their delight over the adorable collage of photos that showed Katya and her dad enjoying a week of sightseeing together, including a snap of the pair stepping out with Katya’s celebrity dance partner Wynne for a stroll around some castle grounds.

One of her fans typed: “Aw you are very like your papa.”

While another replied: “My Pops passed away in April and I was always a daddy’s girl. Treasure every moment you have with your dad.”

A third commented: “It looks like you had the best time with him.”

It comes as last month Katya defended her dance partner after a viral video caused hundreds of people to suggest he had made her uncomfortable.

During Saturday night’s show, Welsh opera singer Wynne slid his hand around the middle of Katya’s waist, which she then pushed away.

The now-viral moment happened while host Claudia Winkleman revealed voting lines were open for this week’s show.

It caused hundreds of people on social media to speculate that Katya was uncomfortable during the interaction.

A second clip of the pair then went viral, Wynne, a Welsh opera singer, tried to high-five Katya and got rejected.

After the pair began trending on social media, they posted a video together saying the high-five incident was just a “silly joke”.

Wynne, who became famous for acting in the operatic Go Compare adverts, said in the caption on the post: “We were just messing around. We really are amazing friends.”

Katya also agreed with Wynne and lent him her support.
