“The chemical reaction between the two substances produces oxygen, which is a powerful cleaning agent.

“Baking soda and hydrogen peroxide can penetrate deep into the fibres to remove dirt, grime, and stains.”

For this cleaning method, start by vacuuming your carpet to remove any remaining debris.

Then, make a baking soda and hydrogen peroxide solution by mixing one cup of baking soda with two cups of hydrogen peroxide.

Next, apply the solution to your carpets and rugs and scrub with a brush. Let the solution sit for four to five minutes, according to the cleaning pros at , before rinsing with water.
