Coca Cola Christmas Airfryer Ham Everyone in my house gets so excited about an airfry gammon joint – but that is nothing compared to the utter happiness of this Christmas Coca Cola version! The ham is boiled in coke, so it’s sweet and soft, then finished off in the airfryer with a maple syrup, clove and mustard glaze – it actually tastes like Christmas!! Cook this to have in festive sarnies, as part of your Christmas Picky tea, or use it in pre Christmas dinners (I made a carbonara.) I’ve written up the recipe below – let me know if it’s going on the Christmas list! A x *** I used a 1.3kg unsmoked gammon joint for this. Place the joint in a large saucepan with a lid. Cover it in 2 litres of coke and top up with water if needed to cover the ham. Bring to the boil, place the lid on the pan and simmer for 20 minutes per 450g plus an extra 20 minutes. Make up the glaze with 100ml of maple syrup, 2 tbsp of wholegrain mustard and 1/2 tsp of ground cloves. Give it a good stir. Remove the ham from the coke and pat dry. Score the fat with a sharp knife to create a hatched effect. Spoon around half the glaze over the top, pushing it into the score lines. Cook in the airfryer at 190C for around 20 minutes or until the top is crisp and golden and cooked through. You can add more glaze to the top halfway through cooking. Leave to completely cool, before cutting into thin slices
