is known for their controversies, from the hilarious #strawberrygate saga to fierce on-air rows.

Since the budding celebrities entered the jumgle, tensions have been brewing Down Under. Loyal fans will remember the uncomfortable clash between Alan Halsall and Dean McCullough over incomplete chores in camp just one week into their stay.

More recently, Tulisa Contostavlos found herself in hot water after she wiped all the snaps from her time on I’m A Celebrity on to distance herself from the show.

But this year it’s not just the show that has been embroiled in controversy, with the glamorous campers all facing their fair share of scandals in the limelight.

With just four members left fighting it out to be crowned the next King or Queen of the jungle, Express.co.uk has taken a look back at some of the campmates biggest controversies over the years.

Tulisa’s collapsed trial

In 2013. N-Dubz singer Tulisa was arrested on suspicion of supplying class A drugs following a sting operation by an undercover journalist, known as the Fake Sheikh.

The reporter alleged that Tulisa had arranged a deal to sell him drugs while he posed as a prominent film producer. The case went to court, but the trial fell apart when a judge stated they believed the journalist had lied while giving evidence, reports .

The journalist was later tried on related charges and was handed a 15-month sentence behind bars. After the charges against the musician were dropped, Tulisa – who denied the drug charges – released a statement.

It read: “Let me be perfectly clear, I have never dealt drugs and I have never been involved in taking or dealing cocaine. This whole case was a horrific and disgusting entrapment by Mazher Mahmood.”

Jane Moore’s Ofcom complaints

During a broadcast controversy, Loose Women’s Jane Moore faced public outcry following a segment in March 2021 which deliberated on and ‘s sit-down with Oprah Winfrey.

Charlene White recounted incidents of being branded “aggressive” while discussing race, to which Jane Moore added that she too had been labelled “aggressive”, noting it as a cross women often bear.

The episode subsequently garnered 341 complaints forwarded to Ofcom, as a representative for the regulatory body : “We received 240 complaints about Jane Moore’s comments about casual racism,” while an additional lot of 84 grievances targeted Charlene’s steering of the show.

Barry McGuigan’s legal battle

In 2020, a legal battle between Barry McGuigan and boxer Carl Frampton – who he previously managed – was settled.

In 2017. their partnership broke down and Carl and Cyclone Promotions sued one another. Carl sued Barry and Cycylone productions alleged withheld earnings while Barry claimed against Carl for breach of contract in a counter suit.

Both parties denied each other’s allegation. The dispute was ultimately resolved outside of court in November later that year.

GK Barry’s controversial podcast guest

Grace Keeling – otherwise known as GK Barry and hosts the popular Saving Grace podcast – recently faced a wave of criticism after an episode featuring OnlyFans sensation Bonnie Blue went viral.

The interview garnered particular attention for a contentious moment where Bonnie recounted an encounter with a father-and-son duo.

She admitted: “When the son first saw me with his dad, I thought he was going to tell me off but he wasn’t, he was jealous and wanted to join in.”

Coleen Rooney’s Wagatha Christie saga

In 2022, the Wagatha Christie trial hit the headlines when Rebekah Vardy took legal action after Coleen Rooney alleged that Rebekah’s account was linked to stories about her being leaked to the media.

When the trial came to an end, the judge declared that Coleen’s accusation was “susbstantially true”. Following the explosive verdict, Rebekah and Coleen released their individual statements.

Doting mum Rebekah stood by her innocence, insisting that she had no knowledge of any leaks and emphatically expressed that the judge “got it wrong and this is something I cannot accept.”

Meanwhile, Coleen expressed relief over the ruling, while insisting that she “never believed [the case] should have gone to court at such expense in times of hardship for so many people when the money could have been far better spent helping others.”
