While they may not be traditional Christmas films, the Harry Potter series has become a staple for festive viewing. Each instalment features a pivotal Christmas scene that adds to the narrative’s charm.

The enchanting decorations and towering Christmas trees at Hogwarts create an irresistible festive atmosphere. For fans of the Wizarding World, the idea of cosying up by the fire with a mug of butterbeer is a dreamy prospect.

Described as a less-sickly butterscotch flavour, butterbeer can be found in various locations within the Wizarding World, such as the Leaky Cauldron, and in real life at places like the Warner Bros Studio Tour London: The Making of Harry Potter and in Florida. It’s also available in bottled form from official Harry Potter stores.

However, this hasn’t stopped inventive enthusiasts from concocting their own homemade versions. A TikToker from Miami, known as Sanfoora on her @sarahalboss account, shared her recipe for the “perfect” butterbeer using just five ingredients, leaving fans utterly amazed.

She claimed her creation tasted “exactly like in Universal Studios” and revealed it starts with a mix of vanilla extract, sugar, and butterscotch syrup in heavy whipping cream.

She then drizzled butterscotch syrup into a cup, followed by pouring in cream soda and stirring the potable potion well. To finish, she crowned the brew with that amazing cold foam, suggesting, “top it with that amazing cold foam and you’ve made the perfect butterbeer”.
