Butterbeer is a staple of Universal Studios
While they may not be traditional Christmas films, the Harry Potter series has become a staple for festive viewing. Each instalment features a pivotal Christmas scene that adds to the narrative’s charm.
The enchanting decorations and towering Christmas trees at Hogwarts create an irresistible festive atmosphere. For fans of the Wizarding World, the idea of cosying up by the fire with a mug of butterbeer is a dreamy prospect.
Described as a less-sickly butterscotch flavour, butterbeer can be found in various locations within the Wizarding World, such as the Leaky Cauldron, and in real life at places like the Warner Bros Studio Tour London: The Making of Harry Potter and in Florida. It’s also available in bottled form from official Harry Potter stores.
However, this hasn’t stopped inventive enthusiasts from concocting their own homemade versions. A TikToker from Miami, known as Sanfoora on her @sarahalboss account, shared her recipe for the “perfect” butterbeer using just five ingredients, leaving fans utterly amazed.
She claimed her creation tasted “exactly like in Universal Studios” and revealed it starts with a mix of vanilla extract, sugar, and butterscotch syrup in heavy whipping cream.

One creative drink enthusiast showed how to whip up a “perfect butterbeer” at home, leaving Harry Potter fans spellbound. First, she created a “cold foam consistency” by whipping the mysterious concoction vigorously.
She then drizzled butterscotch syrup into a cup, followed by pouring in cream soda and stirring the potable potion well. To finish, she crowned the brew with that amazing cold foam, suggesting, “top it with that amazing cold foam and you’ve made the perfect butterbeer”.
In the comments section, aspiring wizards confronted the difficulty of acquiring butterscotch syrup. However, one helpful muggle provided a homemade solution: “It’s easy to make! Brown sugar, heavy cream, butter, pinch salt, and vanilla extract.”
Other commenters had struck gold by scouring the ice cream aisle of their local stores.
Many expressed eagerness to try the recipe themselvessays. “Imma have to try it . I love going to universal to get butterbeer,” exclaimed an excited fan, while another couldn’t resist sharing their anticipation: “Ahhhhh I’ve got to do this! “.
