Lewis Hamilton says sorry to Mercedes team

“They took him to the paddock club and he was not really willing to go to the paddock club, saying: ‘Oh, I’ve never been to the paddock club in 12 years with this time. How come I’m going now? What are you doing?’ and really not wanting to go.
“When he arrived there, the whole team were all there waiting for him and they played a very special video that had images since his karting days.
“Seeing that video was very touching and it was very emotional for the whole team and everybody was watching with him.
“He said: ‘Oh, I’m so sorry that I didn’t want to come to this thing because I’m really grateful’. And it was an emotional moment for the team.”
