It’s going to be wet no matter where you are in Metro Vancouver on Friday evening.

A “robust and rain-laden frontal system” is expected to make its way down the B.C. coast on Friday, beginning Friday evening and lasting until Saturday morning, according to the warning.

“Rain, at times heavy, will begin late this afternoon for Howe Sound and the Sea to Sky, and this evening for the remainder of the regions.

“The heaviest rain will ease later Saturday morning as the frontal system passes through.”

Between 50 to 70 millimetres of rain is expected throughout the night, along with possible water pooling on roads and flooding due to blocked drains.

More to come.
