She made a bold statement at a high-profile awards event in London, donning a dress prominently featuring the phrase “middle-class women of a certain age”.
This was a clear jab in an online tirade that led to his temporary departure from during an ongoing investigation.
Gregg Wallace found himself in hot water after posting a video on last weekend in which he remarked: ”Now in the newspaper, I can see the complaints coming from a handful of middle-class women of a certain age just from Celebrity Masterchef. This isn’t right.”
His words sparked outrage, including from some celebrities, prompting Gregg to issue an apology for “any offence” caused.

Despite the controversy, Gregg’s legal team has firmly stated that “it is entirely false that he engages in behaviour of a sexually harassing nature,” and Wallace himself has strongly refuted all claims against him, reports .
Earlier in the week, Countryfile host Anita Rani, aged 47, seemed to join the criticism of the TV chef.
She posted a quote to her 150,000 followers that she attributed to author Stella Duffy: “It’s important to remember that middle-class women of a certain age grew up as working-class girls who were, and are, fierce as f**k. With long memories.”
Accompanying the quote, Anita added: “Can’t take the credit for this one. It’s taken from @stellduffy But I like the cut of her jib.”

Gregg Wallace apologised for his comments
The presenter has seemingly taken things a step further, sporting a T-shirt dress emblazoned with Gregg’s now infamous phrase.
The oversized navy garment featured the “middle class women of a certain age” slogan in bold pink letters, paired with a black blazer, lace tights and matching heels.
Gregg’s unfortunate choice of words emerged following the revelation that 13 individuals had accused him of making inappropriate sexual remarks in the workplace.
These historical allegations reportedly span a range of shows, not just MasterChef, over a period of 17 years.
In addition to a statement from his legal team, Gregg has also addressed the allegations himself via social media videos, denying any wrongdoing.
A statement from MasterChef’s production company, Banijay UK, confirmed that Gregg is “committed to fully cooperating throughout the process” of the ‘s investigation.
It added: “While this review is underway, Gregg Wallace will be stepping away from his role on MasterChef and is committed to fully cooperating throughout the process.
“Whilst these are historical allegations, incidences brought to our attention where these expectations are not met, are thoroughly investigated and addressed appropriately.”
In response to the news, the stated that it treats all concerns brought to its attention “seriously” and has announced that Wallace will temporarily step down from his position on MasterChef while an investigation is conducted into historical allegations of misconduct.
