‘s Amy Dowden has faced another career obstacle following a forced withdrawal from the show due to a foot injury.
The Welsh dancer had filmed for a Celebrity MasterChef Christmas special with a Strictly theme. She was set to appear with fellow professionals Gorka Marquez, Kai Widdrington, and Nancy Xu, but the plans were scuppered.
Allegations of inappropriate behaviour by MasterChef presenter Gregg Wallace have led the to pull the anticipated episode along with another Celebrity MasterChef Christmas edition.
During an appearance on ITV’s Lorraine, hosted by Christine Lampard on Friday, December 6, Amy expressed her disappointment. “I’m gutted about that,” she confided to Christine. “I did have a lovely time but I can’t comment further about that as it is under investigation. I’m actually gutted, I can’t say I’m the best chef but I did my best.”

Amy appeared on the show to raise awareness for Crohn’s and Colitis Awareness Week. Running the first week of December, the campaign aims to inform the public about inflammatory bowel diseasesan issue close to Amy, who has battled the condition since childhood, reports .
She discussed how she has navigated her illness amidst the demands of her celebrated dancing career. After her breast cancer diagnosis and treatment last year, many overlook her longstanding fight with Crohn’s disease, she revealed.
Amy also looked forward ti this weekend’s semi final of strictly which she will be watching from the sidelines, owing to her injury which came just weeks after her comeback. Her celebrity partner will now take to the floor with Lauren Oakley.

Despite the setback, Amy has high hopes for the JLS singer, with some of their best routines planned for the latter stages, fully confident in his capabilities. Speaking about JB, she remarked, “The first time I took hold of JB and did a few steps I knew he had the potential, the talent, musicality, the groove in his body and I think he will be in that final.”
Amy continued to express her strong support for her former dance partner: “We speak most days and I’ll be cheering him on.”
