Aldi has reportedly axed two items in its biscuit range
Aldi shoppers are in turmoil as the budget supermarket has scrapped two beloved biscuit varieties. Outraged customers have voiced their dismay on social media, questioning the disappearance of Belmont Coconut Rings and Chocolate Rich Tea biscuits from store shelves.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one user wrote: “Aldi where have these gone? My fiancé loves them and was going to get 50 packets for his 50th birthday in 3 weeks, been to 3 stores and none on shelf – Please help.”
Aldi’s response brought no comfort either, with the retailer commenting: “I’m so sorry but this product has been discontinued. We hope your fiancé finds an alternative packet to fall in love with.”
Adding to the biscuit blues, another customer queried: “Aldi, have you stopped selling chocolate rich tea biscuits?” Unfortunately, they too received confirmation that this product had met its end.

According to , Aldi similarly responded: “We can see this product has been discontinued. We are sorry for any disappointment.”
These biscuits join the list of items that Aldi has recently removed from sale, including the Moser Roth Vegan Blonde Chocolate Bar, once reportedly celebrated by fans as ‘the best ever’. Village Bakery Seeded Medium Sliced Loaf has also disappeared too, leaving one customer urging on social media: “Please put a plea in for me for its return.”
In response, the firm said it would see ‘what it could do’. Aldi has restocked discontinued items before, including its Elkes Sports Shortcake which hit shelves once again in January of this year.
The biscuits, featuring images of different sporting activities, were a classic for children growing up in the 80s, before their initial discontinuation a few years ago.
