Russell was called out publicly by his rival after a fiasco in qualifying in Qatar, and the 26-year-old came out swinging on media day in Abu Dhabi, accusing the four-time world champion of using intimidation tactics on rivals, among other complaints.
Addressing Russell’s comments on Thursday, Norris told Sky Sports F1: “I hope it doesn’t get smoothed out! I hope they stay fighting and arguing… it’s amusing to watch!
“It depends… every other driver has their own way of doing things. I don’t think Max tries to intimidate. Max just says the truth in his opinion. A lot of the time he just says the truth about things.
“People don’t like to hear the truth nowadays in life. But he’s honest and he just gives his opinion, and I’m completely fine with that. Sometimes I disagree with his opinion, sometimes I agree, but that’s life. That’s what happens in life, and we move on. I respect Max a lot, I respect George a lot, but I don’t mind if they lose respect for one another.”

Norris and Verstappen shared their own public ‘respect’ tiff earlier this season after the Austrian Grand Prix, but relations were quickly restored. With Russell, however, it is hard to see a way back for his friendship with the Dutchman.
