Emmerdale Amelia Spencer star ‘set to appear’ on rival show after emotional soap axe

star Daisy Campbell is looking ahead after filming her final scenes for the ITV soap.

The actress, 21, landed the role of Amelia Spencer at the age of seven in 2011 and is set to bid a heartfelt farewell to after an incredible 13-year tenure.

Daisy has already filmed her final scenes, which are set to hit screens next week after Amelia reveals she is moving away from the village with her daughter Esther.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk and other press ahead of her final scenes being broadcast, the soap star admitted she already knows which show she wants to appear in next.

“There’s so much I want to do,” Daisy said. “I really want to do Strictly, that’s something I really want to do next year because I’m a dancer.”

She continued: “I’ve been dancing since I was three but I don’t know how to do the Salsa or anything so I think that would be cool to learn.”

When asked if she would be keen to head Down Under and take part in … Get Me Out of Here!, Daisy admitted she wouldn’t say no, but reaffirmed that Strictly is the show she wants to do.

The TV star said: “I would really like to do it. I think it would be fun because you don’t know how you’re going to be in there because you have to push yourself down to what you’re eating and everything.

“But Strictly is like my one because I just know that I would really enjoy the experience from dancing as a kid.”

Daisy was faced with the tough reality during a meeting where she learned her final scenes would be aired just before Christmas.

Now looking ahead, Daisy opened up about what other projects she would like to embark on in the next few years.

She confessed: “I would never say no to a job. I’d be open to doing anything. I’d love to do plays, new dramas or low-budget films. Literally anything.

“I feel like the world’s my oyster, I’ve never known anything different so it would be cool to see how everything else works.”

Addressing her upcoming exit, Daisy explained: “I think it’s been such a tough year and I’ve had to deal with so much, but I was so at peace when leaving because I’ve grieved through it.

“I’m not only grieving for myself. I’m grieving for the character I’ve always played. This was my first ever job since the age of seven, so it felt really sad but it was nice to close the door and be at peace.”
