David and Victoria Beckham were among guests at the state banquet last night

It is believed the footballer and his wife were invited to the banquet hosted in honour of because of their Qatari connections, with the former England football captain being an ambassador for the Qatar World Cup in 2022.
Although they arrived together, the couple stuck to state banquet custom and sat apart, with David seated between Conservative leader and Nasser Al-Khelaifi, a Qatari businessman who is president of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), the French football club where Beckham ended his career.
Victoria spent the evening sat next to Lord Levy and Lord Darzi.
After pictures emerged of the couple at their first , royal fans were quick to react, with many believing the former footballer should receive a knighthood.
One fan wrote on X: “Would love to see David & Victoria Beckham receive a Knighthood for the work they do, not just promoting the UK, but for their charity work also.”

The banquet was hosted by the King and Queen Camilla at Buckingham Palace
According to Buckingham Palace, with a ‘light tartlet of Cornish lobster with quails eggs and organic salad leaves’ for the starter.
This was followed by a main course of ‘supreme of Windsor pheasant wrapped in savoy cabbage, roasted celeriac puree, gratinated potatoes with a soft creamy cheese from Suffolk, truffle sauce and a selection of winter vegetables’.
The dessert on offer was an ‘iced bombe with organic Samoan vanilla ice cream and Balmoral plum sorbet’.
The state banquet on Tuesday was as renovations are set to be underway.
