Jimmy Kimmel said President-elect Donald Trump is heading to Paris this weekend at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron.
But he noted one word that could come between the two.
Macron last month congratulated Trump on winning the election and vowed to work together “with your convictions and mine.”
“That’s right,” Kimmel said. “Between the two of them, they’ve got 34 convictions.”
Trump earlier this year was convicted on all 34 felony charges in his criminal hush money trial, although his lawyers are currently arguing that the case should now be dismissed.
The president-elect will visit Paris to attend the reopening of the Notre-Dame Cathedral, which was badly damaged by a fire in 2019.

“It’s expected to be a nice, very pleasant trip for the president-elect to enjoy Paris before he takes office,” Kimmel said. “And of course for his wife Melania to enjoy wherever it is she will be this weekend.”
