‘s husband Marius Iepure spilled on ‘s that there had been important “text” missing from the letter he’d sent to his wife when it was aired on
The former star married her husband a decade ago, with the pair welcoming their first child together over a year ago. Despite becoming a mum a little over a year ago, Oti decided to leave dad duties to Marius after striking up an offer to go into the jungle.
It was a tricky decision for Oti and Marius but a choice they felt ready for. On the ITV programme, Oti received a letter from Marius and it contained adorable information that their daughter had “started walking” while the professional dancer had been in Australia.
Appearing on ITV’s Lorraine Marius explained that this key information had not actually aired, even though he’d jotted it down in the letter.
Marius was chatting to the Scottish host about his wife being in the jungle without their daughter, when the shocking revelation came to light.
Oti’s husband included important message in letter that wasn’t shown
Appearing via video link from Australia, where he is supporting his wife with their baby daughter, he told Lorraine: “Of course she is missing her. Every mother misses her baby.”
He then disclosed there had been specific information in his letter to Oti that had not been aired. Marius said: “Actually, in the letter that I sent her, there was a little bit more text and I was telling her how she is doing and how she has started to walk but most importantly somehow she gave me that possibility to connect with her on a much deeper level.”
Marius let slip key detail that was missed from show
The Romanian-born professional dancer explained that his time with his daughter had been life changing: “Mum’s and baby’s connect in a different way than dad’s with baby’s and now because of this, I think it’s a great opportunity for Oti to find her Zen and for me to connect with my daughter on a deeper level.”
“Awww,” gasped Lorraine as Marius told her: “I think it’s a very interesting experience for both of us.” In the same chat the 64-year-old host prompted: “Now lots of people are saying that they want her [Oti] to win.”
She went on: “Tulisa was on this show yesterday and Tulisa said that she wanted Oti to win. Melvin as well said last night that he wanted her to win too, there’s this growing swell of people who would actually like to see a Queen of the jungle, I think she’s got a great chance.”
Oti’s daughter started walking while she was in the jungle
In response, Marius said it was anyones race and that he’d been surprised over some of the shock evictions already: “I think everybody can win, up to when Jane was out and she was doing so well and then we had Dean who was doing all of those seven challenges, I think.”
He added: “So I was like, ok why is he out and why is she out? It was really really crazy so for me, everyone can win. She is the Queen of the jungle obviously and she can dance a very good Samba so she is going in the right direction. I’m really hoping that she is going to be in the final of this. That would be huge.”
The host positively chirped back: “Yeah, I see her there already.”
Lorraine airs weekdays on ITV1 from 9am.
