Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking release date, cast and episodes as film’s stars reunite

Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking is coming to Prime Video soon and the series is described as “blending legendary storytelling and fantastical edible creations in a never-before-seen competition that will have audiences at the edge of their seats”.

Fred and George Weasley stars James and Oliver Phelps bring their much-loved charm as they host the magical series. They will be joined by esteemed judges Carla Hall and Jozef Youssef.

Throughout the episodes, special guests Warwick Davis (Professor Flitwick), Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood) and Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley) will help to scrutinise the showpieces.

The renowned actors will also be recalling some of their own film stories from one of the biggest highlights of their careers.

Fans of Harry Potter will recognize many familiar places, as the series was produced at some of the original sets where Harry Potter’s journey was brought to life on screen.

When is Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking out?

The competition launches on Prime Video in the UK and Ireland on December 17 and it is made up of an initial six episodes.

All of the episodes should be available to watch at the same time, but the competition’s finale will not air until December 24.

The competition kicks off with a bumper-sized episode in which nine teams of pastry chefs and cake artists are tasked to craft edible showpieces inspired by moments and themes from the Harry Potter saga.

Each week, the culinary artists will design showstopping creations that not only taste good, but also offer surprising and enchanting, visual elements.

The series was produced at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, amidst the backdrop of the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter.

Contenders will have the chance to present their creations in iconic locations such as Platform 9¾, The Great Hall, Gringotts Wizarding Bank, Diagon Alley, the Forbidden Forest and more.

The trailer begins with the contestants looking starstruck as they enter Hogwarts, but they are soon pulled out of their reverie as the hectic baking begins.

Viewers will have to wait and see who is crowned champion as the hopefuls produce some out-of-this-world creations.
