Gino D’Acampo stirs controversy on ITV’s Loose Women with unexpected ‘rule break’ kiss

The hosts of Loose Women were caught off guard when celebrity chef Gino D’Acampo made an unexpected comment about a ‘kiss rule’ on the show.

In Wednesday’s episode of the popular ITV chat show, panellists Kaye Adams, Frankie Bridge, Kelly Brooks, and Kelly Holmes welcomed the 48-year-old Italian chef as he came on to discuss his latest cookbook.

But no sooner had he joined the panel, things took an unexpected turn as Gino proceeded to give each host a peck on the cheek. It seemed he flouted some guidance when he candidly confessed: “They told me ‘please don’t kiss the ladies on the table’ but what kind of Italian would come on the show without kissing the ladies. The rules are rubbish.”

The remark prompted chuckles from the panellists as Kelly playfully teased Gino, quipping: “Well I think you’ve just got fired.” Laughter erupted across the studio whilst a puzzled Gino inquired: “What, for a kiss?” reports .

Online reactions were swift, with comments flooding in on X, formally known as Twitter. One viewer remarked: “That was very awkward…. #loosewomen Frankie looked uncomfortable.”

A further questioned: “Do you really think they told him not to kiss them? ? #Loosewomen.” The conversation quickly veered towards Gino’s new air fryer cookbook, a Sunday Times Bestseller. Kaye didn’t miss a beat, challenging him by asking: “So you say what type of Italian doesn’t give someone a kiss when they greet them but what kind of Italian uses an airfryer?”

Holding up his book, Gino retorted confidently: “An Italian who made a hell of a lot of money.” Kaye quipped back, acknowledging his candour: “At least you are honest.”
